The Gardens at Marqueyssac, France

This amazing place is placed at Vézac, in the region of Dordogne (France), and without any doubt is one of the most visited places of this region. Those gardens are placed on an amazing cliff, there are about 150.000 trees and shrubbery. There are also an a gothic chapel and a playground for kids.

The Castle and the garden was build on XVII century by Bertrand Vernet, Louis XIV the Sun King’s advisor, and two centuries later was adquired by Julien Cervel, who ordered to plant and harvest trees boxwood with these fantastic shapes.

After years of neglect, in 1996 the garden was restored and opened to the public. It is a place with a special charm, and a very romantic place we recommend visiting with your partner or family.
