It is certainly one of the lakes that struck me most and one of the most beautiful. Lake Buenos Aires / General Carrera is a huge lake located in the south, particularly in Patagonia America, but has the peculiarity that is shared by Argentina and Chile, is why has this ambiguous name.
The area reaches 1850 square kilometers, of which 978km² are in the Aysén region of Chilean General Carlos Ibáñez del Campo, hence its name.
On the other hand, Argentina owns the remaining 880km², located in the province of Santa Cruz. As you can see has a large size, it is considered the fourth largest lake in South America.
In this lake sport fishing is practiced because it has a large number of trout and other species, but certainly the most shocking part is an island located in the middle of the lake, which is composed of rocks of almost white tones ivories, conocico as the “Marble Cathedral”. As you can see in the picture, it has an unequaled beauty and I highly recommend that you visit it.
